Finishing the DC is usually decided by the creator of the piece, and chosen to color coorinate with the piece. See color coordinated .

BEADS are normally glass crow beads, color coordinated with the lace color. On natural browns/tans, we can often use wooden beads( as these each need to be drilled out to fit over the lace, they are charged extra). Wooden beads are also sometimes spray painted to match/contrast with the lace color.

FEATHERS - Lace colors accepting natural Bronze Turkey and Almond Pheasant are tan, rust, gold, browns, greens, and red. Others are finished with feathers dyed to match the lace color.

Normally all beads have 3 feathers in them - the bottom, color coordinating with the lace; the middle contasting; and the top again coordinating. Example - for black lace, we use black, pearl grey, and again black feathers.

You may choose differently if you like. Remember this is about what YOU like, not our concept of what you like.

Examples of customer feathering concepts:

12 inch

This has purple, orchid, and black feathers. I wasn't sure if it would look good, but was pleased with the result.

9 inch

Red ring with red, black and white freathers. Interesting combination.

9" blue/red/green

Customer requested red, blue, and green feathers.

7 inch

White ring, white and lavender feathers.

6 inch

White ring, white with blue accent feathers.
